IRIN delivers unique, authoritative and independent reporting from the frontlines of crises to inspire and mobilize a more effective humanitarian response. After 19 years of award-winning coverage with the UN, we have just started a new chapter. IRIN is now an independent, non-profit media organization. Our core editorial objective - to highlight neglected crises and analyze humanitarian action - will remain. Outside of the UN, IRIN is better positioned to critically examine the multi-billion dollar humanitarian aid industry and continue to do what we do best, deliver in-depth reporting on crises often forgotten by the mainstream media.
