The Sidmouth Herald has been an excellent recorder of and witness to this idyllic seaside resort's news and history for more than 160 years, priding itself on accurate and reliable coverage of all issues - big and small. Launched in 1849, the Herald has a first class reputation for campaigning and raising funds for worthy causes, such as the inshore lifeboat rescue service. Published each Friday, the Herald covers the magnificent Regency seaside town as well as surrounding places such as Beer, Branscombe, Newton Poppleford and Otterton (South West of England). The Newspaper also has an edition for Ottery St Mary with several changes, ensuring this important East Devon town has strong, truly local coverage.
