EBSA Field Assistance Bulletins (EBSAFS) issued by the Employee Benefits Security Administration within the U.S. Department of Labor, Field Assistance Bulletins are compliance assistance tools which provide guidance to the agency's field offices on matters that arise in the course of investigations. Field Assistance Bulletins are intended to ensure that the law is applied consistently across various regions and to inform plan sponsors and the courts of the Department's position on the technical application of Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) to selected issues.
