Originally established as a weekly newspaper, The Port Hope Evening Guide became a daily publication in 1878 and is one of Canada's oldest daily newspapers. The daily serves a community of 12,000 that is rich in culture and heritage. Located along Lake Ontario, Port Hope has become home to numerous retirees from the Greater Toronto Area.
