The Colborne Chronicle was founded in 1959, and is the successor to the Colborne-Express (1866) and Colborne Enterprise (1886). The weekly newspaper serves the community of Colborne and Township of Cramahe. Colborne is located in the heart of apple country, along Lake Ontario, and less than a two-hour drive from downtown Toronto. Its populace consists of a mix of families and retirees who have relocated from Toronto.
