Description

The CT Mortgage file contains county court house real estate records forselected CT counties.  The mortgage materials include both purchase moneyand deeds of trust. The term mortgage is used to mean both mortgages and deedsof trust. Data for this file is obtained primarily from the records of therecorder's office and market sources.

Purchase money mortgages include mortgages created or retained against thethe purchasers real estate to finance  the acquisition or initial constructionof such property.  Non purchase money loans generally involve second mortgages,improvement loans, refinances and equity loans.

This file is usually updated bi-weekly.

Although individual records may vary in content, most documents include thefollowing:

- owner name(s)- property address and/or mailing address- assessor's parcel number- mortgage amount
